Blessings!

One of the greatest blessings in my life have been my friends. I don't understand why I have been so fortunate to know such wonderful people.

Meet Erika and Jordan...

I had the pleasure of living with both of these ladies during college. We have laughed, cried, and gone on many adventures together.

The three of us also spent months teaching alongside one another at Mariann Primary School in Kenya.

We share a love for Africa and God's work on that continent.

To raise money for my Rwanda fund, Jordan and Erika hosted an African style auction called a "Harambe". The Harambe took place last Wednesday at Jordan's home church in Connecticut.

Members of the congregation brought a variety of edible goods. Each item was sold to the highest bidder. I believe Jordan's younger sister bought a Pineapple for $57!!

Jordan and Erika also shared memories of Africa, sang Church songs in Swahili and presented a slideshow.

The Harambe was a success and I am in awe of the amazing generosity of people I have never met. I am thankful for Jordan, her family and Erika for putting together such a fun event.

I am also thankful to the Lord for providing provisions in such a creative way!!

Now if only these poor guys could have been shown the same kindness!

Getting Ready to Go

This summer has been full of preparing for my move to Rwanda. Fund raising is going along well; however, I am still in need of a great amount of monthly support. Please be in prayer about this! I am so thankful for the amazing people who have been so generous. I have truly been humbled!

Meet Kyla!
Not only are we college friends, but we both graduated with a degree in Education. I am so thankful for Kyla and look forward to working right along with her! She is a wonderful person, hilarious and so great in the classroom.

Meet Ashlie Galyan!
Ashlie is such a blessing to me. She is my stateside "go to girl".
While Downtown Church is my sponsoring church, Ashlie is my personal connection to Downtown. She is handling my finances and many other aspects of my work. Ashlie shares a love for Africa and specifically Rwanda. I thank God for this woman. I truly admire Ashlie!!
